We will begin our day with the exploration of Milestii Mici Winery. Stretching an impressive 200 km and deepening up to 85 meters, Mileștii Mici is the ultimate playground for wine lovers. These cellars are home to more than two million bottles of wine and have been listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest wine collection in the world. Mileștii Mici is like an underground wine city: the winding tunnels have been given street names to help people navigate them and all streets have been named after different wine types. We will continue our day to enjoy some great wines in the heart of Moldova’s biggest forest – Codri, at Poiana Winery. Its philosophy is to harness and preserve the unique natural resources of the secular area in which it is located. Here the vine is cultivated like in old times, preserving millenary traditions. Poiana Winery is not only about wines with, but also about unique landscape that inspires and gives birth to legends. The valley of the winery is called the “Buddha Valley” and is an attraction for yoga practitioners. Here you will enjoy your lunch on the terrace in a charming atmosphere. The afternoon is your time to explore the hidden paths of Chisinau on your own.
The last but not the last wine discovery will be Asconi Winery, one of the country’s most powerful wineries, which annually processes about 3,500 tons of grapes, using state-of-the-art equipment and technologies. Winery was founded in 1994 and achieved a lot, due to modernization of the manufacturing process, nowadays due to regular equipment investments, winemakers of the Winery use up-to-date production facilities of the best Italian and French manufactures. The wines are made both from local and European grape varieties like Feteasca, Traminer, Chardonnay, Pinot Franc, Cabernet-Sauvignon and others. But in this cradle of traditions, it is not only about the wine, but also about gourmet traditional cuisine which is made daily with love by the locals, using only the best recipes and best ingredients for a truly memorable gastronomical experience.
